supervision

During my intern years I struggled to find an attentive and supportive supervisor but once I did, things really shifted for me. I was able to show up more confidently in my work and I felt more safety knowing I had a soft place to land between sessions where my professional needs were being met. I hope to do the same for the clinicians that I get to work with.

I am able to supervise counselor associates pursuing LPC and LMFT licensure in the state of Oregon as well as LMHC licensure in the state of Washington.

my experience as a counselor: years in community mental health, higher education, and most recently in my private practice. i have extensive experience working with a vast range of mental health experiences + many different walks of life.

my approach with supervisees: strengths-based approach helping supervisees work on:

  • discovering their own therapeutic voice and style

  • counselor identity development

  • collaboration on client cases

  • exploring countertransference/transference

  • discussion of power dynamics and other systems-based lenses

what i’m drawn to: i draw from the discrimination model of supervision and enjoy addressing the following client work:

  • trauma

  • stress/anxiety management

  • intergenerational dynamics and family of origin

  • identity development

  • working with marginalized identities including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ populations
