trauma

  • does the past feel like it’s constantly bleeding into the present?

  • do you have memories you feel like you’re not able to get past?

  • does your body feel tense and like it’s difficult to relax no matter what you try?

  • does it feel like you’re on fight/flight mode always looking for signs of danger and potential hurt? or that you’re feeling numb, shut down, and dissociative?

I specialize in working with experiences of trauma whether it is a one time event or an accumulation of different experiences. Through narrative techniques to rewrite your story, as well as learning breathing and grounding exercises to help your nervous system experience more safety, I am here to help you experience more presence. I am also trained in EMDR which is highly effective in working with trauma.

anxiety

  • do you oftentimes find yourself experiencing uncontrollable worry?

  • do you catastrophize about the worst case scenario and the what-ifs?

  • does your worry interfere with how you want to show up in your life?

I work with clients to manage experiences of anxiety through a combination of working through negative thought patterns as well as introducing breathwork and grounding exercises to help clients learn to soothe their nervous system. I also help clients build self-confidence so they can better trust that they are able to handle the future, as well as explore what environmental factors may potentially be creating experiences of anxiety.

burnout

  • do you often feel like you’re drowning in your responsibilities?

  • do you feel exhausted and unable to engage in activities that typically bring you joy?

  • do you not feel like yourself and find yourself lashing out towards yourself and others?

I work with those that are experiencing burnout by helping clients get proactive about engaging in activities that are grounding to their nervous systems and by taking an honest look at one’s responsibilities and what changes can be made. I have experience working with parents, adult children of aging parents, tech workers, healthcare workers, fellow therapists, students, and self-identified people-pleasers.

adult children of immigrants

  • are memories of your childhood and the ways in which your emotional needs may have not been met causing feelings of pain?

  • are you feeling weighed down by the extra responsibilities of helping your immigrant parents?

  • do you often find that conversations with your parents lead to misunderstandings from both sides?

  • are you burdened by juggling the expectations of multiple cultures?

I work with adult children of immigrants in working through their emotions relating to their relationship with their parents. As a child of immigrants myself, I understand the difficulties that may come with this experience. I work with adult children in processing their upbringing, reaching more peace and acceptance, and identifying how to navigate their familial relationships moving forward.
